ADRA Zambia Joins Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation in Commemorating Global Handwashing Day

ADRA Zambia joined the Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation and other partners in commemorating Global Handwashing Day and launching the National Hand Hygiene Roadmap.

The event brought together key stakeholders from government, civil society, and the private sector to reaffirm their collective commitment to improving hand hygiene across Zambia. The National Hand Hygiene Roadmap aims to strengthen coordination and accelerate efforts that ensure access to handwashing facilities, soap, and clean water for all.

Speaking during the commemoration, representatives highlighted that handwashing with soap remains one of the most effective and affordable ways to prevent diseases, promote public health, and save lives particularly in schools and communities where children are most vulnerable.
