At Dimbwa Primary School in Gwembe District of Southern Province, the dream of quality education was once overshadowed by the challenge of limited space. With only one classroom block available, overcrowding was a daily struggle, making learning conditions difficult for both students and teachers. The lack of seats and adequate room meant that many children were left without proper learning spaces, discouraging enrolment and impeding academic progress. 😞
However, with the support of the Glassco Foundation, this challenge became a thing of the past. The construction of a new classroom block 🏫 transformed the school, providing ample space for learning and a more conducive environment for both pupils and teachers.

Before the new block, the school had only 270 enrolled pupils. Today, that number has risen to 363, with 179 girls 👧 and 184 boys 👦 now having access to improved education. The additional space has made a significant impact, ensuring that children can attend school throughout all seasons in a permanent and safe learning environment. 🌍☀️
Beyond the classroom block, the construction of a staff house 🏠 at Dimbwa has also helped in attracting and retaining qualified teachers. The school now boasts a teaching staff of seven, three female 👩🏫 and four male 👨🏫 teachers, significantly improving the teacher-pupil ratio and enhancing the quality of education.

This progress is reflected in the school’s academic performance. With better learning conditions, dedicated teachers, and improved resources, the passing rate at Dimbwa School has soared to an impressive 96% 🎉📈.
The transformation of Dimbwa School is a testament to the power of strategic investment in education. With the generous support of the Glassco Foundation, more children now have access to quality education, paving the way for brighter futures. 🌟 The school stands as a beacon of hope, proving that when communities and partners come together, real change is possible. 🤝✨
